Biography

Jack was born in April 2004, he was starved of oxygen for 25 minutes and was rushed to special care as he wasn’t breathing when he was born. They worked on him for 5 minutes, he was then in the incubator fighting after a bleed on the brain and having seizures. Jack continued to struggle both with feeding and seizures over the next few years, he underwent lots of operations including gastrostomy, tonsil and adenoids removed, tracheotomy, fundo (to stop vomiting) all by the age of 3 years old. Over the next 3 years Jack was a lot more stable being at home with the odd times at hospital for chest infection or seizures. Jack’s had to have hip surgery in 2016 and this year scoliosis spinal rod surgery.
Although Jack’s been through so much in his life he’s a strong, determined, beauiful boy who likes what most boys like - football with his dad, having hugs and kisses from mum, listening to his favourite stories and music. Jack likes going out with his friends on adventures, going to the movies, the sensory room, hydro pool, on the trampoline, days at the park with his labrador Marley and his 2 sisters. Jack likes being on holidays with family and friends.
