BiographyFirst seizure at 4 months old followed by a second later that evening. Scarletts 3rd seizure at 6months was when she was diagnosed with epilepsy, Her seizures would last between 1 and 3 hours and always ended up with a trip to resus. We got the Dravet diagnosis when she was almost 2 years old which was a devastating time, however, something we had prepared for as we had almost self-diagnosed her anyway .
She's been on intensive care 7 times in her 4 years being ventilated. We've tried 8 different medications, currently on 3 with still no seizure control but we know that's the likelihood of Dravet. She was diagnosed with ASD last year, she has OT and Speech and Language.
She's literally like the Duracell bunny, she doesn't stop and is most definitely a madam, but she's been through so much and comes out stronger then ever!!
