Biography

Alfie is 2 years old. He has had 10 surgeries to date, his next one being in May for open heart surgery. He is a happy boy who struggles with communicating and finds blankets/covers a comfort during an episode of frustration where he self harms.
He is due another 3 surgeries this year and many more in the future. Through his life he has had a stroke at two weeks following his first heart surgery, he has had sepsis countless times, meningitis and has spent more of his life in hospital than out. His most recent stay was just last week when he was admitted for low saturation as he had parainflueza 3. We have access to Acorns Children's Hospice and respite for 2 hours every other week when his favourite person Jen comes to play.
