Thank youHenry's quilt has arrived. He loves it so much. Thank you to everyone who has put so much time and effort into making it just for him. We are truly thankful that he has his beautiful quilt to make his many hospital stays a bit more comfortable. Here are some photos of Henry's quilt with him and his little brother Edward. Xxx

BiographyHenry was born 3 months early. He is intubated as he had problems breathing by himself.
Henry had a seizure at 2 days old which caused a bleed on his brain resulting in hydrocephalus. He spent the next 2 months having fluid drained from his brain before a shunt was placed. This shunt lasted 2 days before it had to be removed due to him contracting meningitis. He had to wait another 2 months until the fluid in his brain was clear of infection before another shunt could be placed.
Henry spent the first 7 months of his life in hospital. During this time it was found that he had a hole in his heart, a perforated intestine, breathing/lung problems and eye and hearing issues.
He then spent his first birthday in hospital needing a tracheostomy. Since then he has been in and out of hospital with different issues. The latest problems diagnosed are epilepsy and thyrotoxicosis.
Even though Henry has been through so much and seems to spend more time in hospital than at home, he is a loving little boy who enjoys spending time outside, especially in the park on the swings. He has proved so many professionals wrong with how far he has come and truly seems to love life. He is an inspiration to everyone he meets (which is amazing since he's not even 3 years old yet).
