Biography

Liam and his twin Adam were both born at 28 weeks weighing 3lb 4oz & 3lb 8oz. Both boys spent 7 weeks in NICU. Liam struggled to feed and spent the next 2 years in and out of hospital. At 8 months old he suffered a hypoxic brain injury and multi-organ failure. He started to have seizures and lost the use of his sight, he was very poorly and required a line in his neck and was blue lighted to hospital. Three months later he returned home, sadly his twin passed away unexpectedly at 10 months old

Liam was diagnosed with ectodermal dysplasia in December 2011. He is unable to control his temperature so if he overheats he can have a seizure and die. He is gastrostomy fed and totally reliant on someone for all his care. Despite all he’s been through he is a very happy boy who has a wicked sense of humour and a very cheeky laugh.
