Biography

Jack was born normal and healthy at full term. I noticed within a few months he was different, he didn’t want cuddles or comforting and didn’t reach milestones like my other children. The older he got the more he wouldn’t want any contact with anyone, not even his brothers. Once he learned to sit up he would line all his toys up and get angry and frustrated if anyone touched them. I mentioned to my health visitor I was worried about the no speech, nothing not even making a noise, and this is when he was referred to the child development centre. After 6 months of different specialities seeing him he was diagnosed with significant autism. Jack is now 3 and half, he’s non-verbal with a 70% development delay. He’s also a non-sleeper and has an eating disorder (he only weighs 1st 4lb), we have a very long journey ahead of us. xx
