What beautiful cuddly treasure James has received. Thank you to everyone who was involved in the making. Already it has become a cherished item and has pride of place on his bed.
It couldn't have come at a better time either. After 6 long and difficult months, James has returned to school. Except it isnt school as James remembers it. Everything has changed. New friends, new staff, new environment. James is awaiting assessment/diagnosis for ASD, and like many children on the Autistic spectrum, he finds change really difficult. Now, when he comes home from school he can wrap himself up in his much loved buses and trains and retreat to a world that's safe, familiar and one where he feels secure.

Biography

James is a happy, smiley 6 year old boy who absolutely loves all things bus and train. He knows lots of facts about buses and trains and loves to recall them.

James was first diagnosed with developmental delay around his first birthday when it was obvious he wasn't developing like other children of his age. However it wasn't until April 2019 that we realised the extent of his needs. He is very sensitive to sound and struggles with loud, busy environments. School is especially tricky for him to cope with. James is happiest when he is in his own bus and train filled world.
