BiographyTaniesha was diagnosed with congenital heart disease at my 22 week scan and they said she could possibly have Down syndrome too. I waited for the test until she was born as it made no difference to me.
She has learning difficulties but she does incredibly well learning Makaton and she has a good range of signs now.
She loves animals and often tells us there is a tiger or gorilla at the door in signs, the best she can. She has had 2 heart surgeries already, 1 open heart and soon will be having another.
She developed pulmonary hypertension 18 months ago and we were told she may not be able to have the third. In October her levels dropped so they said the next operations would be possible as long as she remains well.
Despite everything she has to deal with she's brilliant, a real little funny girl.
