Biography

Ellis was delayed in most milestones and we had to fight for a doctor to take us seriously. He didn’t walk until 2 and he is completely non-verbal. He didn’t roll over and didn’t crawl very much and cried in pain with his muscles in his legs most of the time. Eventually a blood test flagged-up straight away that there was something wrong.
We found out that he had a genetic condition Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and he also is non-verbal with global development delay and social communication difficulties. He has been through so many tests and has physio every week.
Ellis is about to go on a steroid which has big side effects, we are hoping this will help him cope with his condition.
