Thank you

here is Eleanor with the beautiful quilt you wonderful ladies made for her.
She was absolutely shocked to receive it along with the card this morning. It was a wonderful surprise!
She adores it and has spent most of day laying on the lounge floor on it ???? thank you again so much.

What you do is truly wonderful and brings so much cheer and much needed comfort to our children’s lives. We can’t thank you enough

Merry Christmas to you all from myself, my husband and Eleanor xxx

Biography

Eleanor arrived in February 2004 weighing in at 8lb 10oz.

She was promptly whisked away to the special care baby unit before I could even hold her in my arms and say hello.

She was very poorly but it took 5 long weeks before they discovered her complex heart condition and first mentioned the possible diagnosis of Noonan Syndrome. Little did we know of the battles that lay ahead.

She underwent her first open heart surgery at 5 weeks old and has undergone several more since with more to come. After genetic testing they confirmed her Noonan Syndrome diagnosis.

So here we are 16 years later and Eleanor has battled through major illnesses, countless specialists, myriad of appointments and bouts in hospital and horrendously painful procedures. She has battled through feeding problems, global developmental delay, vision issues and daily growth hormone injections. The list goes on but I’ll stop there...... it’s not about the diagnosis it’s about the person and Eleanor is truly amazing and makes her dad and I so proud with how well she copes and takes everything in her stride whilst overcoming the many obstacles that she faces on a daily basis. Her Noonan Syndrome and associated difficulties do not define who she is..... she is our everything. She is our precious Eleanor.
