Thank you so, so much to everyone involved in making this incredible quilt for Charlie. Simply WOW.... Sooooo much love, time and detail. You're all incredibly talented. It will bring him so much comfort ???? It really will be loved and cherished - more than you will know. Thank you again for making my little boy smile, I'm beyond grateful. He absolutely loves it. He asked me afterwards if he gets to keep it. I explained it was made just for him and he said "Really, that is so kind. I'm sad though Mummy because stupid covid won't let me hug them to say, Thank You." He has asked if he can send you all a thank you picture instead

Biography

Charlie started developing multiple birthmarks within months after birth (cafe au laits). It was shortly after that when his roller-coaster of a journey began.

He received a diagnosis of Neurofibromatosis Type 1 also known as NF. This condition causes tumours to grow along the nerves in addition to various other symptoms. Due to the unpredictable nature of the condition and it being progressive he was required to have ongoing tests and reviews. He struggled to meet his milestones and began presenting various signs of complex learning difficulties. He later went on to receive a diagnosis of autism and dyspraxia. It is now known that there is a strong correlation between these and his NF.

However, despite his daily challenges and difficulties he is a happy boy. He has various needs and struggles to make friends but he always tries his best and never gives up. He is an awesome little boy.
