Biography

Luke was born a healthy baby and lived 13 years as a healthy child. In 2015 he went to the shop to buy some cereal for his siblings and on his way home he was hit by a car.

Luke was trapped under the car for around 20 mins. His head took the full impact which has left him with 3/4 brain damage. Luke wasn’t expected to survive the accident but he defied all the odds.

He has been left with severe complex medical needs and requires 24 hour care for all of his needs. He is doubly incontinent, he can’t walk, talk, eat or do anything young boys his age can do. He spent 8 months in Alder Hey Children’s Hospital recovering. He has undergone multiple operations to save his life and also required a reconstruction of his skull.

Since his accident he has had lots of hospital admissions for chest infections, pneumonia and even sepsis. Despite all that Luke faces daily he is such a cheeky, happy, funny boy and he can capture the heart of anyone he comes into contact with.
