Biography

Jemiah was born with a rare syndrome which was confirmed within 10 days of birth. She also had a hole in her heart and coloboma of the eyes. The heart repaired itself. Jemiah is still under eye specialists and has had to have many different surgeries to her eyes and has regular eye medication. Jemiah has also been registered severe sight impaired.

Jemiah had a 50% chance of dying under age 2, it's amazing she is now 16 and we are so proud of her. She started with epilepsy at 11 months and seizures are life threatening for Jemiah. When she has a seizure she normally stops breathing and ends up on intensive care and and it's touch and go again. She is such a fighter she amazes us.

Jemiah is a full wheelchair user she needs care 24/7. She is not able to do anything for herself but she is such a happy person and brings a smile to the face of everyone she meets.
