Thank you

Thank you so much for Aimee's beautiful quilt she is over the moon with it especially as there is a springer spaniel of which we have one. Aimee proudly showed it to her teacher who dropped her home. You all do wonderful work, having tried cross stitch unsuccessfully I can appreciate the work these entail!
Many thanks again.

Biography

Aimee was born weeks early due to polyhydraminos. It was evident at birth that there was something wrong. Almost immediately she was given a clinical diagnosis of Noonans, then heart issues and feeding issues. She was relatively well until about 6mths when she going blue and being unable to eat. She was booked in for a balloon dilation day procedure at GOSH. Unfortunately it didn't go to plan and she suffered from major pulmonary oedema and she needed to be ventilated for a week. Since then it has been an endless round of hospital visits and therapies.
Aimee made it to mainstream school where she is well supported She started high school last Sept. She is so much smaller than her peers but tries her best. She amazes me every day with her will and determination especially through the pandemic where she has spent nearly a year in isolation with me. She has two much older siblings who are front line workers. Aimee is extremely close to her brother and sister and not seeing them has been very difficult for her. Aimee also understands that Covid would more dangerous for her than most of her friends. She takes the mask wearing, hand gel and isolation in her stride and is even supportive of me.
I am so proud of her.
