BiographySophie was born by emergency caesarean. She had torticollis from birth that got sorted by physio. She then didn’t meet her milestones so further tests were done. At two years old she was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome and epilepsy. Rett syndrome means she is now unable to talk, sit unaided, crawl, stand, walk, feed herself - she is now 100% tube fed. She requires 24 hour care for all her needs.
Even though all these skills have been taken away from her she still has the sweetest sense of humour and the sweetest giggle. She likes to be included with other children’s games and loves being spoken to and played with. She’s starting to get to grips with her eye gaze computer and is talking back with her sarcastic sense of humour well.
Sophie is now 6 years old and lives with her mum. Sophie has two cats Minnie and Danzo.
