Thank youThank you to everyone for Ella-Mae's quilt, it's absolutely beautiful. She's been snuggling up with it and it all cozy after her bath. She has trouble with communication but I can tell she loves it as she's constantly feeling over the squares and hasn't pushed it off once, you're all amazing xx | ||||||||||||

BiographyElla-mae was born at 23 weeks. She spent four and a half months in neonatal units across 4 hospitals. Ella had bilateral brain bleeds which caused the PVL and led on to her cerebral palsy diagnosis. While she was in NICU she had lots of complications and had surgery to close a hole in her heart. She had further surgeries to remove a part of her intestine as it had twisted and laser eye surgery to correct retinopathy of prematurity. This has led to her losing some of her peripheral vision and she is extremely shortsighted. Ella-mae also battled several infections and had to have lines replaced continuiosly. |
