Thank you

We are delighted to let you know Lotties quilt has arrived.

We are absolutely thrilled with Lotties quilt. We cannot begin to describe how beautiful it is.

We are completely blown away with the love care and attention that has been put into her quilt.

We cannot thank everyone involved enough.
We have all been really poorly since new year with Covid so this has most definitely put a huge smile on our faces.

And as promised here are a couple of snaps of Lotties quilt, but honestly these photos do not do the quilt the justice it really deserves. It is absolutely stunning, and our little lady loves it so very much.

With many thanks to everyone at LQ UK, all the volunteer stitchers and Lotties quilter love the Family Xxxx

Biography

Lottie was born a very tiny 5lb 8oz. Since birth she has had troubles with severe vomiting of stomach acid. At 3 weeks old she was diagnosed as being deaf in both ears. That absolutely broke out hearts.
Lottie has always struggled to gain weight or maintain the small amount of weigh she did gain.
And at the age of 22 months she weighs a mere 17lb. She is fed through a NG tube since her tonic/clonic seizure back in January.
Lottie has never reached any major milestones. After her major seizure Lottie regressed and lost the ability to do the things she was able to do before. Even the simple task of being able to feed.
After an EEG in January she was diagnosed as having a severe and rare form of epilepsy called West Syndrome/Infantile spasms.
Lottie is unable to do anything by herself, is non-verbal, really struggles with eye contact and requires round the clock care.
Lottie's epilepsy is medicated but she still has seizures every day.
We have been informed by her neurology consultant that she may never gain the skills she needs to fully thrive. With the West syndrome being severe her seizure are only going to get worse as she grows.
She undergoes EEG's every 8-12 weeks and is currently waiting an MRI scan to detect any brain damage from her major seizure as she was fitting for such a long time. Paramedics struggled to bring her seizure under control which resulted in a very long stay mid covid in hospital. It was a frightening time in our lives as she lay in the hospital bed lifeless from so much medication and steroid treatment.
But our little tough cookie pulled through thankfully and despite everything our tiny warrior has been through on her good days she is so full of giggles and smiles.
Her good days are few and far between so we treasure every single smile and every giggle.
She's such a cuddle monster! She loves her snuggles so much.
