Biography

Oliver-Daniel was born in 2020. We knew there was a 1:2 chance that he would have Di-George Syndrome. Bloods where taken from his cord and he was seen by the nicu dr where his bloods were slightly abnormal. He had a tongue tie which meant he was unable to latch at the breast so I expressed milk for him. At 11 days he had his tongue tie cut but this only worsened his feeding, so we had him seen by the lovely cleft team. Oliver-Daniel has a suspected sub mucus cleft. He has frequent hearing tests as we haven’t as yet had a reliable reading.

Oliver has had many blood tests and has high calorie milk to help him thrive and grow. He had investigative surgery in September and they diagnosed mild tracheomalacia. He sees lots of people whom we are hopeful he will be discharged from as time goes on but for now he has a specialist chair for feeding and we are working on his hand and coordination development - he is super active and always happy !!!
