Thank youCannot thank everyone involved in the making of Imogen's quilt enough! She loves it, so far it's been to 3 different hospital appointments, and a visit to school to show off and talk about during circle time, everyone admires it. It has easily become a favourite item of Imogen's and is very much loved and appreciated. THANK YOU

BiographyFrom birth Imogen struggled to feed, she was constantly sick and cried in pain day and night. At days old she was admitted to hospital where I was told she was failing to thrive. She had an NG tube placed to help give her the nutrients her body was craving. She was seen by different Dr's, nurses and consultants and kept in hospital for two weeks while working out what was going on. Eventually she was diagnosed with gastroesophageal reflux and an unsafe swallow. She started daily medication to help and I was told the NG tube would be a short term solution to her problems. Little did I know two years later and after many traumatising experiences of NG feeds and tube changes she would have be having surgery to have a Mic-key button fitted as her problems are not so short term. She's had the Mic-Key button a year now and it makes such a difference, and now we can see the whole of her beautiful face. Her difficulties feeding have caused an oral food aversion meaning she has limited oral intake and is attached to her feeding pump for 10 hours at night and a short period in the day.
I am extremely proud of the way she has dealt with everything she has been through over the last 3.5 years and the way she continues to smile and take it all in her stride despite the daily battles she faces to keep thriving.
