Biography

We began to notice Evie wasn't developing normally at about 6 months. At the time the Drs didn't do much, but by the time she started nursery at 2 her delay was flagged up again as she still wasn't walking or talking.

Eventually she was diagnosed with Autism and global delay, but her Dr wasn't entirely convinced. It wasn't until she was referred to the 100,000 genome project that she was diagnosed with Noonan Syndrome and all the pieces fell into place. Her mutation is on one of the rarer genes and went undiagnosed as she only has a small heart murmur.

She is now 12 and attends a special school which is perfect for her.

Evie loves cats and talks of nothing else. She is a happy little girl and although nearly a teenager still seems like a much younger child due to her small stature and learning disability. She suffers from headaches and struggles socially and with her emotions.

However she lives life to the full and is a very popular member of her class. She will love the quilt with all the cats on!
