Biography

Rory was born by emergency Caesarean in 2017. From birth he was having problems feeding, not having the strength to suckle and missing many newborn reflexes. After being fed through a tube for two weeks and after many tests he was allowed home.

Rory started missing milestones and around 5 months we managed to get an appointment with a paediatrician who told me she believed Rory had a genetic condition.
Fast Forward to age 3, still undiagnosed. Rory started having seizures. He was seen by the hospital and quickly diagnosed with epilepsy.

Rory started school this year and has blossomed! He is unable to walk but he can weight bear now, which is a massive achievement. He’s non verbal but has started making fantastic eye contact and letting me know what his mood is like.
As of last month Rory has also been diagnosed with CVI and is now registered as sight impaired.

He is such a happy boy and people always comment on his smile and long eyelashes.
