Biography

Ffion was diagnosed a week after her 3rd birthday. She was complaining of tummy ache. After several trips to doctors on the last occasion she had a couple of purple spots and the doctor sent us to hospital straight away for bloods which is when we found out.

She spent two weeks in intensive care early on when she developed psuedomonas and sepsis from her port. She lost a lot of weight and the ability to walk. After 9 weeks we were allowed home and over the following months she regained her strength, learned to sit, crawl, stand and walk. We had to go back to hospital every day for 9 months to get IV antibiotics for a fungal lung infection due to the sepsis.

She's now in maintenance and continues to do well. She started school in September and is such a happy child.
