Biography

At 6 wks old we noticed Reuben's head was growing fast & he was delayed developmentally. MRI showed white matter changes on his brain. He was enrolled into the DDDstudy to check his genome for possible syndromes.

When he was 8yrs old we were told they found a mutation on his RAC1 gene. He is the only one in the world with his specific change so we do not know how this mutation will affect him in the future.

As a toddler he used to scream at night & we later found out he had pressure on his brain which caused him to scream in pain daily. He has limited communication so cannot tell you if he is in pain or not. He was then diagnosed with Autism & severe learning disability & will never be able to lead an independent life as he needs someone with him at all times.

After 9 Tonic Clonic seizures in the last 6 wks he has been diagnosed with Epilepsy.

He attends an amazing SEN school who support him in all aspects of his life.
