BiographyLuca was born with meningitis and spent time in the special care unit. He didn’t meet any of his milestones and was struggling with his feeds. In August 2012 he had a fundoplication and a gastrosomy. It wasn’t until mid 2013 that a neurosurgeon diagnosed him with cerebral palsy quad.
In 2015 he had his first major seizure, which was followed by other major seizures and an epilepsy diagnosis. Luca is non-verbal, doubly incontinent and a full time wheelchair user. He communicates using eyegaze technology. Despite all of his health issues Luca is a happy smiley child who draws people to him.
