Thank youI would just like to say a massive thank you to everyone who was involved in making Maisy's quilt she was over the moon with it there was even a few tears of happiness. She takes her quilt everywhere with her it's just so perfect. As a cross stitcher myself I know how hard you all worked and from me and Maisy thank you so much.

BiographyMaisy was born with severe sandal gap on her left foot and a birthmark that covers her whole left side. She was a very upset baby and we now know she was feeling pain from her condition. At about 6 months I noticed her left hand and arm were a lot bigger than the right side. At the same time it was impossible to get Maisy shoes due to her left foot being so large and wide.
We tried for 2 years to get answers to what condition she had and to get her a pair of shoes. After a very long time we managed to get Maisy a mri and we found out she has enlarged veins all down her left leg, hyper mobility in her arms and legs and her brain is larger on the left side. The only place Maisy can have shoes made is Great Ormond Street and they are still not the most comfortable of shoes.
She has a lot of pain due to her enlarged veins and hyper mobility and when going out spends most of her time in her wheelchair. She feels a lot of pain at night and is up and down crying. There is nothing that can be done for her condition. We don’t know if it will get worse, we don’t know if more things will pop up as she gets older
