Biography

Mia is severely autistic. She is non verbal. She is the most complex child in Lancashire for her behaviour. She hits out, bites, headbutts and kicks. She will need 24/7 care for the rest of her life. She uses a wheelchair when out for safety. She has a padded bedroom and rubber bed for her safety and also a padded sensory room downstairs. Her living room is now padded due to her head butting. She lives with her nana who takes on all care for her and she goes to a school with 10 children in.

Mia was a happy baby, never cried. She was diagnosed at 18 months old and they told me when she was diagnosed that she would be severe. She does struggle, she can’t write, read, or draw. She does use her iPad a lot watching YouTube but she has learned the few phrases she can say with that iPad.
