Biography9.40am Olly was born. By day 3 Olly hadn’t done a number 2 . On the Monday, day 4 we had a visit from a midwife who made a phone call to the local hospital. So we went back. His belly was extended. Olly had an X-ray and one of the nurses and doctor said we know something is there but we don't know what it is. At 1.45am Tuesday morning we were blue lighted to GOSH London children’s hospital. Another xray at 5am and me and my husband had to sign so Olly can have his first 8hour operation. All went well. The midwife saved his life. Olly had 10% chance of living.
So all of Olly’s 13 years of life have been lots of long stays. He is up to 23 operations, 21 hours pump feed, Olly is on his 4th stoma and catheter to wee. We are waiting to see if Olly is having more ops.
