BiographyMaisy-Leigh was born at 36 weeks via c-section due to no longer growing and not moving a lot. She was quickly taken to the baby unit in Brighton where we spent 3 months on and off breathing support. Maisy-Leigh kept getting various diagnoses while in hospital but it wasn't until we were home that we received her main diagnosis Coffin Siris syndrome.
We spent the first 2-3 years in and out of hospital due to Maisy-Leigh getting sick a lot of the time. Maisy-Leigh hasn't had an easy life but she is the most happy, determined and just purely amazing little girl, she is the light in our dark. She's been through so much in her short life so far, more than most adults. She's been in and out of hospital more times than I can count on my hand. We live each day as our last because Maisy-Leigh can suddenly become very sick very quickly but that doesn't stop that beaming smile.
