Thank youMorning,
Sorry for the delay in messaging, we have been away at a hospice for the week.
We got back yesterday and saw Alfie's quilt for the first time.
Wow! Was all I could say, it far exceeded any expectations that we had, it is just perfect.
Alfie loves it, he loves to feel the different squares and all the different textures.
We wanted to thank everyone for their hard work making all the squares and especially Tracey for stitching it all together. It is so precious, we will treasure it.
Many thanks, Merry Christmas to you all.

BiographyAlfie is the youngest of 5 boys, When he was born it was obvious that things weren't quite right. Alfie was very small with a tiny head and what the doctors called dysmorphic features which led them to carry out lots of tests.
When Alfie was 4 weeks old we received the results and we were told that Alfie has a genetic condition that was so rare that he was the only known child in the world to be affected. This meant that we didn't know what to expect or how his conditions might affect him.
Alfie has been through lots of surgeries in his short life including open heart surgery in 2015. He is so resilient and such a happy boy even though he has to go through so much.
Alfie cannot walk or talk, he is registered as sight impaired and he is deaf.
We don't know what the future holds for Alfie but at the moment he is a happy sociable little boy who loves school and his brothers.
