Thank you so much to all the amazing stitchers and LoveQuilt for my son's amazing quilt he absolutely loves it I saved it to open on his 2nd heartiversary (14 march) for his 2nd Open Heart Surgery as a little treat for him...thank you all again xxx

Biography

We found at my 20 week scan about Allan's heart condition and further investigation during my pregnancy discovered his PCD so we were fortunate to have a plan in place for when he was born.

At 2 weeks old Allan was discharged from hospital and at 4 weeks old was rushed back in by ambulance and was oxygen reliant until he had his first open heart surgery at 6 weeks old which lead to 3 post op cardiac arrests and him being on life support.

At 6 months old Allan underwent his 2nd open heart surgery.

And we are now awaiting his next lot of surgeries in 2024. He is due his cardiac catheter around March/April and then open heart surgery to have his Fontan around the summer.
