BiographyTrinity is a very cheeky young lady and always has a smile on her face. Trinity started having problems in year 3 when her school noticed her grades dropping. Trinity has always had a fight in her, she's faced all her problems head on, but once she got to high school those fights became harder. Even in her darkest days though she would have a smile for anyone. Deep down she was hurting, broken and feeling alone until finally the doctors and teachers started to listen to me, my mam and dad and we pushed for the help we are now getting. School is becoming easier and Trinity has become a child again.
Her autism diagnosis threw her back into a darker place as she didn't really understand it or want to be different. With a lot of help and support from friends, family, school and other professionals she has seen that she's not that different and we've told her life would be boring if everyone was the same.
Trinity was then hit with another blow that she may have ovarian cancer as she was having a lot of trouble with her periods. This sent her back to a dark place as she was very frightened after managing to feel normal for some months. Thank goodness it wasn't cancer but Turner syndrome which made her happy until the doctors explained it properly to us. She's had lots of appointments, scans and blood tests and now knows she won't be able to have a child biologically. This was very hard for her to hear at 15 years of age plus all of the other bone, heart, blood and kidney problems that come with Turner syndrome.
For now she's taking a day at a time with good and bad days. I know she'll keep fighting. Her dancing is her safe space which keeps her healthy and she's pretty good at it. She won't give up.
