Biography

Oliver was born with a lump on the back of his head. Little did we know this showed something was not right with our newborn baby. Lots of tests later we discovered that parts of his brain did not form properly in the womb. This has led to severe learning difficulties, non verbal and an eye condition. In his first year we had over 40 appointments at the hospital looking into his health and genes trying to find answers. He is part of the DDD study and 100,000 Genomes and we hope one day they can find something.

He’s now 13 yrs old and a happy, content boy who loves going to school and spending time at home with his family. His favourite thing is his iPad and he’s a whizz on it.
