Biography

Lillianna was born in 2020. In December 2023 she became very unwell. After taking her to multiple doctors and hospitals they told me that Lillianna had sepsis and her body was "fighting too hard" so they had to put her in an induced coma. Not long after she was transferred to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital intensive care. They began tests to see why Lillianna was so poorly.

After multiple tests they took me into a room on her 3rd birthday (whilst she was still in a coma) and told me that she had acute myeloid leukemia. This was the WORST day of my life. Shortly after we were transferred back to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and Lillianna began chemotherapy. Not long after this Lillianna relapsed, a month after being in remission. She has had to have "high intensity" chemo and two bone marrow transplants as her disease comes back very aggressively and is very hard to treat.

As you can imagine the journey has been heart wrenching with lots of ups and downs but Lillianna is now in remission and has been for 7 months post transplant.
