Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of the stitchers and Leanda for quilting Alex's quilt. He was absolutely gob smacked and lost for words, which is not like Alex at all!!

I went through all the squares and who stitched them and where in the world they came from and he was amazed and said 'Thank you so much, I love it'.

Biography

Alex was 2 wks overdue and when I was pregnant I knew baby was going to be big!

He was born via section and came in at a hefty 9lb 15oz! I felt as tho a heavy weight had been lifted off my internal organs!!

He weaned at 18 weeks cos he was that hungry and has enjoyed food ever since. However we were noticing he had a bloated tummy every day followed by explosion nappies. Took him to dr who referred to paediatrician, weeks later and he said he's a gluten, wheat and dairy intolerance.

This came as no surprise as we had researched it so we knew what food he could and couldn't eat.

Alex still enjoys his food and at 9 yrs old he does know what he can and cannot eat, I know of practically every packet of food ingredients list! Free from food is over priced but it's about being savvy and checking the labels as a lot of normal food can be eaten too.
Alex is a very sensitive soul and his behaviour has been an issue for many years and the older he gets the harder it is to manage.

He's being assessed for ADHD, ODD and dyspraxia. He is a very emotional child and loves no more than sitting on someone's knee and having a cuddle. We would love Alex to have a love quilt so he can snuggle down when sleeping or wrap around when upset or distressed.
