Biography

Charlotte was born in 2016 with neonatal sepsis. She was discharged after two weeks and went home with mom and dad to her 2 big brothers. Around 11 months old she started having seizures so we took her to Birmingham Children`s hospital where, after several days, we were told she had infantile spasms (West syndrome) a rare and catastrophic epilepsy syndrome and she had had a massive stroke which completely wiped out the right side of her brain resulting in left hemiplegic cerebral palsy and a vision impairment.

Despite all of this Charlotte is a very happy girl who enjoys playing with her brothers and her friends and is loving her special school where she is absolutely thriving. We are very proud of all she has overcome and look forward to watching her continue to achieve in the future.
