Biography

Archie was born at 37 weeks and was put in nicu with low blood sugars, low body temperature and jaundice. He was then sent home but we knew there was something else wrong as he wasn't meeting milestones.

He then got a genetic test which confirmed Kleefstra syndrome. He was in and out of hospital with problems with his chest and constantly getting chest infections. A video fluoroscopy then confirmed dysphagia and that he needed to be nasogastric tube fed. He was then aspirating his stomach acid and that required to be NJ fed. In early 2025 he had his gastrostomy, fundoplication and his tonsils and adenoids out. Then they found he had a heart murmur so was referred to cardiology where he has had multiple echo and scans and found 10mm hole in his heart which needs a operation on.

Archie is still pretty much a happy boy even though he's been through so much in his 3 years of life...he's non verbal and requires a special needs pram as he's non mobile :)
