Biography

Calla-Rose was born a beautiful, healthy baby until disaster struck at 3 months old and changed our lives forever.

Calla had bronchitis and then during the night she had a febrile convulsion. From then on Callas seizures progressed from little focal seizures to full on tonic clonic seizures which resulted in Calla being put in an induced coma to stop her fitting. MRI scans and EEGS came back normal. We then had a DNA test done and 5 months later we had our diagnosis, Dravet Syndrome, a rare and catastrophic form of epilepsy.

Calla has had many hospital admissions and still continues to fit hundreds of times a day. She cannot walk, stand, talk and is peg fed but despite all of this she is the happiest little girl you will ever meet and I'm so proud to be her mommy ♥️
