Biography

Caelyn is 5 years old. When he was 14 hours old, he was rushed to NICU for 3 weeks. They didn’t know what was wrong with him, they found out he had an infection. He was allowed home but 3 days later he was rushed back to NICU because he was not responding to treatment. They first told me that his adrenal glands were not working and that’s why he was so poorly. They then did tests that showed it wasn’t his adrenal glands. He was the blue lighted to GOSH and had lots of tests an scans. The doctor told me that he has panhypopituitarism and that it had to be managed by taking medications.

The first 2 years of his life was spent in and out of hospital. He spent many nights there, with the longest being 4 months while medication was being managed and to teach me what to do if he became unwell.

Caelyn gets very poorly very quickly and his body shuts down if there is an infection brewing.
