BiographyMichael was born 2 months early. He was very poorly but fought hard and eventually, near his due date, was allowed home. Before he was sent home we were told he had achondroplasia.
Before the health implications of this condition could register, Michael had various rsvs and we almost lost him on numerous occasions. These left his lungs scarred and he needs oxygen 24/7. He was also diagnosed with central and obstructive apneas, which are common with achondroplasia. This means he needs a machine to help him breathe at night.
He is three years old but only just gaining head control and cannot crawl etc.
He also has a blood condition we discovered after an operation last month, which means he bleeds excessively.
We are in hospital at the moment as Michael has been having lots of issues passing urine. We have spent a lot of our lives in hospital.
However, Michael when not in pain is a very cheeky, smiley little boy.
