Thank you again for the beautiful quilt, and for putting a smile on my boy's face especially whilst his been poorly. We couldn’t be more great full to the amazing kind hearted quilters. Thank you

Biography

My pregnancy with Reece was straightforward until 32 weeks pregnant, then I collapsed and was admitted to hospital. My left kidney had stopped working so not much could be done other then to admit me. The Drs thought that after delivering my baby it would ease and I would go back to normal. Being so late in pregnancy they didn’t have much option and didn’t want to induce me. They did start preparing me with steroids for his lungs etc and after 3 weeks of being in hospital I was induced, I didn’t have the option of an epidural or c-section as my platelets were extremely low. I had the baby after 24 hours and he was rushed straight off as he was breathing funny and I was haemorrhaging. Reece was in ICU for 8 days and on the ward with me for the last 2, we were then allowed home.
I started noticing Reece wasn’t like his siblings when I realised he couldn’t be parted from me. He will literally sit on my lap all day. He is terrified of pretty much everything, from using the toilet to using a different colour cup. He won’t eat certain things and won’t go to nursery although we have tried so many times. He has also suffered recurrently from tonsillitis and severe ear infections, both ears and for weeks on end. He has been admitted into Medway Hospital several times for intravenous antibiotics and steroids.
