Biography

Lewis was born prematurely and was a teeny, tiny bubba. At the age of 3 he started having daily nose bleeds lasting over 2 hours. On my birthday he was rushed into hospital as he was haemorrhaging. Here they tested his blood and he was diagnosed with a bleeding disorder- Von Willebrand disease.
When Lewis was around 9, he started self-harming and regularly said he wanted to die. After lots of awful meltdowns and school exclusions the worst was yet to come. Over summer 2017, aged 9, he was detained in hospital and deemed acutely suicidal. From this he was assessed and diagnosed with autism.
In the last 2 years he has dealt with so much, a bleed on the brain, a 5hr nosebleed and bleeding kidneys. Life is tough, but he always smiles.
