Biography

Koda is a twin and at birth was diagnosed with trisomy 21, congenital hypothyroidism and sensorineural hearing loss. He was also born 6 weeks early and was admitted many times in his first year of life for chest problems. These died down after starting prophylactic antibiotics.
He was then diagnosed at 1 with dysplastic semi-circular canals which is lack of balance organs. This was discovered on MRI to diagnose the reason for his hearing loss. He’s currently 19 months and has had a diagnosis of sleep apnoea and unsafe swallow so is now fed with thickened fluids and an ng tube.
