BiographyIris is the 3rd of our 4 beautiful girls; she slotted into our family like she was born to be with us. She was a dream child, easy in every way and pleasant, but quiet. She was due to start full time school in September 2019, which she had been looking forward to, and more than ready for as due to her birthday she had attended the school's nursery for two years. She began displaying signs of illness only a few short weeks before her diagnosis. A slight limp in her right leg and lethargy had been noticed. Initially we were dismissed by the GP, but her eyes went yellow and the glands in her neck swelled until we could see them. We were admitted to our local hospital and then transferred to the RVI, we realised this was very serious. She was diagnosed with neuroblastoma three days later. |
