Oh my goodness!!! I can’t believe how incredibly beautiful this is! Lorcán just loves the quilt and card. Thank you so much to every person who has had a hand in either, they are so very special. Every square is exquisite and the quilt is stitched with cloud shapes! He loves that it’s day on one side and night on the other. This is truly more beautiful that I could possibly have imagined. Lorcán is just mesmerised by the quilt and has been walking about with his card and asking us to read it over and over again. The quilt will be treasured always, will be brought to hospital for admissions, he can wrap up in it when doing his treatments, and sleep under it at night.? Thank you so very much everyone, including my wonderful friend Christine who stitched one of the gorgeous squares. Love and gratitude from Lorcán and his mum Jen. Xxxxxxxx.

Biography

Lorcán Dáire is a lovely little boy who was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis shortly after birth and who has been having a tough time for the last year and a half. Due to a persistent chest infection he has had two hospital admissions of 11 days each and every day he does up to five sessions with a nebuliser and two fifteen minute sessions of physiotherapy but unfortunately the infection has not been cleared.

We have a lot of hope for the future in terms of treatment but for the time being he has a lot to put up with. We are very proud of him and love him very much.
