Biography

Layla was born at 30 weeks. She was very poorly and stayed in the nicu for a few weeks before coming home. But she still wouldn't feed so she had an ng tube for one year and was still struggling to put on weight. She still doesn't eat very well and has had a mini button fitted and is fed on a tube feed for 12 hours a day.

She also has seizures/drop episodes. She can have up to five a day and has stopped breathing in one episode but she is undergoing tests. They have said it's suspected epilepsy as she has had an abnormal EEG test and is waiting to go into Leeds hospital for more tests.

Layla is unable to walk very far as she becomes unsteady on her feet and her right foot gives way Layla also has global delay and is on the autistic spectrum and also has sensory needs.
