Biography

Ethan was born just before the first lock down for covid. Due to a medical history in the family we were told he may have a chance of inheriting the same condition. We noticed from early on that he had things closer to his face and sometimes took longer to recognise what he had in his hand or faces. We asked for a referral to be done at an early stage but with covid it was a wait for an appointment. They identified his condition straight away and diagnosed him with optic atrophy. Before the age of 2 Ethan got his first pair of glasses. Since then we have had his prescriptions increased as he also developed a lazy eye.

Ethan attends nursery where he is fully supported with activities he does and comes home with lots of lovely paintings and creations. There is no cure for Ethan.
