Quilt News
Two quilts were delivered this week!

Faith L's quilt:

Ollie K's quilt:

We also had a large train square from Sue in Birmingham that was too big for a quilt, so Katherine made it into a pillow-case for Ollie's twin brother Louis, so he wouldn't feel too left out:

With many thanks to all the stitchers and Melanie and Janet respectively for assembling the cross stitch squares into blocks :)

Magazine stardom!
We are appearing in two magazines this month! Firstly we are appearing in Cross Stitch Crazy magazine Issue 159 (January 2012) with photos of Freya and Evan:

We are also appearing in the December 2011 issue of Craft Seller magazine with a photo of Freya and Brendan with his Tatty Teddy quilt :)

We thanks both magazines for their exposure of LQUK and welcome anyone joining us from either publication. :)

Children in Hospital
Freya and Caitlin have recently been in hospital, but are now home. :)

Scott has been in hospital for an operation in hospital, but is doing a little better now, although he has developed a line infection :(

We have also heard that Seraphina is rather poorly at the moment.

We are keeping all the kids in our thoughts and hope they will be on the mend soon. :)

Quilts opened/closed
Christopher J's quilt was opened and closed.
Adelaide W's quilt was opened and closed.
Stitch-a-long: Owls's quilt was opened and closed.

We have received word that Lewis C's quilt (Enchanted World) and Evie's quilt have been completed by our quilters Liz R and Alison. They will be on their way to Lewis and Evie very soon, so we hope to be able to show you photos in next week's News.

    Scott
We have heard that Scott who received a quilt from us earlier this year, is poorly at the moment.

Scott's mum, Christine sent us this message: "Hi, my little man Scott received one of your quilts back in may and he is now a very poorly little guy. We are going to the Children's Hospital in Oxford tomorrow where he will have surgery on Tuesday. He never does well with anaesthetic and this surgery is his last chance before his care is switched to palliative. If you are religious please include him in your prayers and if you are not please just cross your fingers! Thank you x"

We will keep you and Scott in our thoughts, Christine.
