News 30 Sep 2012 - 07 Oct 2012Kat Kat has just had her second round of chemotherapy and treatment is proceeding as planned so far. We wish her every strength in this time of difficulty. Quilt News Two quilts were delivered this week: Mikey H's quilt (Animals) - quilted by Alison and Janine:  Fabulous work by Alison and Janine and all the stitchers on this quilt - thank you all for your wonderful support. Matthew W's quilt (Animals that begin with S, especially Snakes) - quilted by Jen was delivered. Matthew is away at boarding school until the end of the month, so we will bring you some photos then - watch this space! Additionally, Esther L's quilt and Leon's quilt are complete and will be delivered this coming week, again - watch this space! Quilts opened/closed Starlea's quilt was opened and closed. Recently we have been investing in wadding for the quilters, so each can have their own small roll (this saves posting bulky packages and on postage). We have also had a huge number of quilts go out to quilters recently - at one point we had 17 quilts under construction at once! At £5.30 per quilt just to post out you can imagine the hole this leaves in funds. So many thanks to everyone who donates to us! :) |
